Large Family Suite for 8, Steps to the Beach 442

This place was perfect for our stay. You could easily sleep 6 people here. The beach is just about a 3-4 minute walk. The pier and attractions are about 5-6 minutes walk. The beds were very comfy. However, one of the beds is in the same room as the kitchen which isn’t ideal if you intend to use all the beds and don’t want to wake anyone while making breakfast. The only con if there was one to be found was locking and unlocking the door. You have to hold the door handle up when locking/unlocking the door when entering or leaving. Other than the train that comes by twice in the night we didn’t find anything that would prevent us from staying here again. We loved it and definitely will be returning!

Super nice place to stay. Very clean and rooms were huge. Very spacious, very, host very nice with excellent communication. Beach really close by. Laundry on premises . Lots of towels and all appliances needed clean. Excellent communication. I will be renting same place again next year. I’ve been to Maine many times. Out of all places I e stayed this one was the best one.Highly recommended.

Great location and ease of communication with host. A few issues…The description is misleading. We paid a premium price for three bedrooms, but one of the bedrooms is actually the living room. There’s no couch or chairs; the only seating is at the dining room table. The layout is odd…all three rooms are attached to each other so you have to walk through one bedroom to get to another, or to go to the bathroom.The parking spaces for this specific unit were so narrow and awkwardly placed. If you park in the “back” spot, you have to move the other car in order to get out. It’s a 3-4 point turn to get in and out of the space with a van. THE TRAIN.Not super clean. The floor was sandy upon arrival, along with some dirty baseboards and tub caulk.

Overall, we had a really good experience. The condo was clean, and I would stay here again—but with fewer people.The listing felt a bit misleading regarding space. I think it's best for 5 adults max, or 4 adults and 2 kids. We had 6 adults and made it work (I slept on the trundle), but I wouldn't recommend more than 5. The king bed is in the living room, and there's no sofa, so the only real gathering space is the kitchen table. If someone is sleeping in the king bed, it's hard to socialize since it's part of the main living area.One bathroom doesn't have a sink—the sink is outside in the kitchen area, which was unexpected. Also, to lock the front door, you need to lift the handle while turning the lock. It took us 10–15 minutes to figure that out.The parking spaces are very tight, especially if a larger vehicle is parked next to you, so it's worth asking about parking before you arrive.The beach was nice, but Portland was the highlight of our trip. I'm a tennis and pickleball player, and while playing pickleball I met someone who recommended the tennis courts right in Old Orchard Beach. He also suggested Bell Buoy, a casual seafood restaurant within walking distance of the condo. We went there, and the lobster was excellent—no frills, reasonably priced, and definitely worth a visit.

We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return to this unit. The place was clean, well organized and setup with everything our family needed. Also a great location for exploring Old Orchard Beach.
